I am in Odessa, Texas helping out a good friend Terry Woodring. His mother is ill and he went to California to be with her. I have been running his tool business for him while he is gone. This is the way an economy should be. Sales are good, Jobs everywhere, everyone seems to have money, it is booming down here. Kyle will be coming down this weekend and he will bring Sammy and Sadie, I can't wait.....Motels are too expensive down here so we have rented a FEMA Trailer to live in, I don't know how those Katrina victims could live in these, there is no room to get around. I haven't posted anything in a long time so I thought tonight would be a good night.

Here we go again.............
Terry Woodring and I will leave in the morning for New Jersey with 2 semi loads of generators. With 3 million people out of electricty we should be able to sell 600, wouldn't you think so. What a gamble and what a long way. This is like rolling the dice. But they can't have 3 million people's electricity back on by Wednesday.

Finally out of Texas......
Had a bad sale today, so we packed up early and we are now in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
I am on my way to find a tornado, in Alabama and I don't where this is going to lead. My wife wants me to come home (been gone going on 8 months) but I have to find out where this takes me. It might be good, or it could be bad. This is what makes its exciting.

I can't believe it...............
I am in Austin for a check up tomorrow morning and then I am planning to go back to work. I haven't taken this much time off since I was in treatment 10 years ago.
We park at 100's of Walmart's and I just had a little miniature security guard tell me I couldn't park at Walmart tonight. 1st time. So I just moved 4 miles south to another Walmart and no problem.
I really don't like Austin, traffic is terrible.

Thank You Danny and Kay Brown
I want to give a Special Thanks to Danny and Kay Brown. They were going across Texas and met Mark Percival and I in Schulenburg, Texas. They have stuck around for over two weeks helping me out. They took me to the Emergency room in LaGrange, helped me move my truck and motorhome around and gave me a tremendous amount of support. They went completely out of their way to be with me. They were absolutely great I can not thank them enough.
THANK YOU............DANNY & KAY

9 days in LaGrange, Texas
I flew from Omaha to Houston on April 5th, on the flight I laid back to relax but had a breathing problem so I sat up, then tried it again and couldn't breathe so I sat up and didn't have a problem for the rest of the flight. I met Mark Percival in Houston and off we went..A couple of days later I called the ambulance thinking I was having a heart attack, but I wasn't. I went to a doctor the next day and they made an appointment to see a doctor 10 days later in LaGrange,Texas. Danny & Kay took me to the emergency room on the 18th of April with a collapsed lung after 9 days in the hospital I was informed that they had done all that they could do and wanted me to see a specialist in Austin,Texas so I was transfered to a hospital in Austin thinking I was going to have an operation which was a 60 mile ride in an ambulance. The lung doctor walked in and said my condition was normal and he wasn't going to do anything and not to do anything, not drive, not lift, push, pull do nothing and see him in a week, so that is what I am going to do.
I always thought I was going to get out the next day and kept telling Connie not to come down, but when they were going to transfer me to Austin, Connie and Missy drove straight through to meet me there along with Danny and Kay Brown. I appreciate everyone being there.
Mark Percival put up with me over 2 weeks while we didn't know what was wrong, he had to do most of the work, I couldn't do it. I hated to see him go. Thank You Mark.

Feeding the Ants
I spent one afternoon feeding 5 different ant piles, I put cheese on each mound, it took about 4 hours for them to devour the cheese. It was entertaining.
Crystal Beach, Texas
It's pretty nice down here. We are right on the Gulf, I will get pics tomorrow of all the houses that are on stilts.
It is rainy today, but tomorrow is going to be nice.

Sammy almost got a new pony.................
I ran into this minature Shetland pony today and I wanted to buy him for Sammy, look how small he is, those are 15" trailer tires behind him. Even though he is small it would have been a tight fit in the motorhome.
This guy travels around the country like we do giving pony rides, what a nice peaceful job.
We are done in Kountze, TX today and we are moving on.

What a trip...
We like storms, ice storms are our favorite. The Groundhog Day storm was coming, and we were ready, I locked up our trucks and headed north to meet Terry Woodring in Oklahoma City Sunday night January 30th. We arrived before the storm and prepared to ride it out, and it was cold and snowy, it brought Oklahoma City to it knees. We were parked at Walmart and watched complete idiots trying to drive in 12-16 inches of snow, the entrances to Walmart were blocked with stranded cars and pickups, it was a mess. We stayed to long as the storm left Oklahoma City, we should have left right then but we stayed another day in the OKC. As the Storm made a big mess in Tulsa and heading Northeast, we had to get back in so we left OKC and drove to Wichita and then to Kansas City, St Louis, and on to Marshal, Ill. We were just behind it, we should have been quicker. We stayed a couple of days and then headed back to Springfield, MO, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas and ended up at Onalaska, Texas, that was a 2100 mile storm chase.

It is COLD.....
It is cold, motorhomes were not made for zero and below. I have a wake up call at 6am to start preparing for a hell of a trip. We are going to make the 2000 mile trip with the storm from Oklahoma all the way to Boston.
We are camped out at Walmart and it is cold, my doggies hate it. Oklahoma City was basically shut done today. People are stuck everywhere.

Stuck at Walmart
I am stuck at Walmart, what a mess, cars are stuck at the entrances, and what a bunch of dub people. There has been cars and pickups trying to get down these streets that have had no snow removal, they don't have a chance. My motorhome is like a tank it plows thru anything. This is a mess.
