Guy upset at city hall....

On the trip to Estes Park with the grandsons we heard on the radio about a guy that was really upset with city hall, so he built a tank out of his catapillar and started tearing down city hall, so we drove over to see it. Built a cage and welded himself in.
He also had a grudge with the electric company....

Home, Resting up for next trip.

This is kinda like jet lag, go,go,go for 30 days and then come home to rest. I have some previous trips and pics I'll post. I took the Grandson's Daniel and Garrett to Estes Park, CO

Scappose, Oregon

Sale tonight was in a great big beautiful red barn and they had roosters. I had a couple of big buyers. As soon as we are loaded up we will drive 25 hours straight through to Oxford.

Mount Saint Helens

We just pulled in, our sale is just out side of St Helens. Tomorrow is our last day and we are on our way home. I was on my way to Oregon in 1980 to run sales when Mount St Helens blew. I can still remember the all the ash and it rained and it was a mess.

Evergreen Aviation Museum (Home of the Spruce Goose)

To think that you are standing beside the Blackbird that goes over 2200 MPH is just OK, but it only get 2900 miles on a tank of jet fuel.

Here is just some more pictures of the airplanes in the museum.
If you get a chance go to this museum it is great.

Carlton, Oregon

Had a sale today in Dundee, Oregon, we had some pretty good bidders, they bought alot of big stuff, however my percent should have been better.

We moved on to Carlton, Oregon where we will have an auction tomorrow. Sammy and I went for a long walk tonight, and then we hurried back to Fox News.

Aurthur didn't make it.

McMinnville, Oregon

Double click on some of these pictures, for real detail.

I knew better than to have an auction on the 4th of July. I had some real tightwads.

After the sale was over we drove to McMinnville, Oregon the new home of Howard Hughes Spruce Goose. There are 60 aircraft in this museum and they are all just about under the wingspan and tail of the Spruce Goose. It is HUGE.

It is so big I couldn't get a picture of it only parts.

This is inside looking toward the tail, it is unbelievable.

These are jet fighters under just a tiny part of the wing.

I have pictures of more planes and the space museum. I will post later.

Check their website out.

Canby, Oregon

Got a 20,000lb load in today. We have had alot of people in today, that is usually a good sign for a good sale.

Molalla, Oregon

They had a parade, big rodeo, all tonight and our auction was right on the parade. Had 8 people at sale time ended up with 22, but they were great they were all there to buy. They did an excellent job. There was just to much going on. We still made money.

Silverton, Oregon

Auctioneer's throat is slit by a man with a box knife.....over a $2.00 bid. We were in the same town Woodburn, Oregon, Mark Percival attends this auction weekly.

We put a new floor in the RV today it really worked out well. Auction was no big deal tonight.

Silverton, Oregon

I missed yesterday because I torn the floor out of the motorhome dba coach, and then I lost all electricity nothing from the battery on. I called Mark Percival and he came down and worked on it, and after 3 hours I must have hit the switch that turns off the batteries. Then got back to Walmart and my internet wouldn't work. I'll say more later tonight.
