It is tough out here, we had a good sale tonight, but when I say a good sale we made money, the sales are nothing like they were in the 70's, that was a gold mine back then.  I lost Sammy today and I about freaked out. I looked everywhere. He was only out of my sight for only about 1 minute. The guys on the crew found him, he was in the fair building that we were in.  I don't want to go through that again.

Harlowton, Montana

We had a small crowd, but we only spent $240.00 on advertising and $100.00 rent. We had one guy spend $2200.00 and a couple of other big buyers.  We had to drive 80 miles to Livingston, Montana.  My GPS took us down a road to the Fairgrounds but we got to the end of the road and there was no bridge, but we could see the fairgrounds, the bad thing was our semi was behind me we had to turn around and go back and start over.  There are just huge herds of deer every where.  I have decided no night driving for us. 

Park City, Montana

Park City, Montana. We had a pretty good sale, good per cent, I have had a few sales I need to pick up another 5% but sometime that is a little harder than you think with a small crowd.  Should I have held out for a $300.00 dollar profit on a certain item and maybe not got it sold or take a $200.00 profit that the bid?   We had a sale in Roundup, Montana, it looked like it might be a bad sale, but it turned out all right.

I have ran into several old men lately that are just grumpy mean old men, I had one today and I made him made. I am done with them, no more crap from my elders.  The one today went storming out, I hoped I ruined his day.  We drove to Harlowton, Montana after the sale today, we are parked in their park, it is r  zjJeally nice.  Only $11.00 a night. I had the lady sherriff pull up while I was walking the dog. She opened her door and the jumped right up on her and she just played with, a real nice woman.  I usually do not have anything to a woman with authority , because they have an attitude.  Jethro Tull Concert is on TV and it is great.  I kick myself in the ass for not staying in the band. Jethro Tull is pretty good on Ambien. I will get some good pictures tomorrow.  I bet I saw 250 to 300 deer today just on our 60 mile drive.

Red Lodge, Montana

We had a small sale, but they were a good group.  It is a tourist town, just south of Red Lodge is Yellowstone Park.  It snowed on us last night and there are deer every where. Sammy and Sadie really enjoyed it they had plenty of space to run and run. It is beautiful up here. Well got to go, I have to find a route around the scales. We try and avoid all the scales we can.  We are in Park City today and we will get to stay at Camp Walmart tonight.

Fromberg, Montana

Small crowd tonight but we had a good time, they were good buyers, we didn't spend much on this one so we made money on a small crowd. Tomorrow we will be at the entrance to Yellowstone Park.  We have a big load so we have to get there early.  It feels good to get to the motorhome and get Fox News and listen to Hannity.   When I get ready to go to bed I will change to Channel 166 , if you have Satellite Radio, these boys and girls are GREAT. I will wake up to to some of the best Obama bashers on the air today, they tell it like it is.

I don't know if we can make it, Obama is out to destroy this country.  I am obsessed with what this mad man and his band of liars.  I don't know how the come up with these polls because I travel Orgeon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Missouri.  I see everyday ordinary everyday working people every night, I can not find and body that will admit voting for him, they all want him out, No one likes Obozo and his crooks.  I am not buying he has a 46% approval rating.  Most people want him out and gone.  I need 10 years of good economy to get ready for the big kick back and retire phase.   Everyone must remember that eveything he says is a lie,  he does not care for anyone, he is out for government control of you. Don't let them..Vote Democrats out in November.

Colstrip, Montana Sale & The Regime that is running this country...

The sale was no big deal tonight, this town has a big power plant and a coal mine between the two companies there is always about 400 workers on a shift.  So are sale is short 400 workers we need part of them for the auction. A guy just drove in from Lame Deer which is about 20 miles and said he had to see over 200 deer. We decided to stay here tonight and go tomorrow.  

This regime that we have running this country now, is the most corrupt bunch of liars on the face of this earth. They are idiots.  They are out to do as much damage to this country as possible.  Their job is to bring the United States of America to it knees. They are rotten son of a bitches. You can't trust one thing they say.  I can't beleive that there is even a Democrat that can't see through this. They are slowly taking over our energy.  Lead Paint inspectors,  Wood Burning and Fireplace inspectors.  I can't sell my house without getting a gestopo to come and inspect it.

Finally made it.......

A couple of years ago, we got tangled up and the Sheridan, Wyoming Port of Entry and spent about 10 hours tied up.  Today, we just hit it wrong and got tangled up again, this guy was training another girl so we had to go through all these hoops. Arthur was one hour off on one of his log books entry, but we had a fuel receipt to justify the time and his answer was the truck stops time was wrong and our time is never wrong. (I am sure he was a democrat and Obama supporter. This took over an hour. It took a lot of will power to keep my mouth shut.
We finally made it to Colstrip, Montana, there were 2 deer by a quick shop when we pulled in, I pulled up right beside them and Sammy barked and barked, they just looked at him and went back to eating, we did not even bother them.  We made it to the sale and are ready for tomorrow.  I am gonna try to leave politics out of my blog this trip, even though that Harry Reid is on Fox lying to the American people that piece of crap.
Connie and I did go to Omaha for a couple of days, Brandon got a new motorcycle, but I do remember when I was that age.

Oxford to Douglas, Wyoming

Our trip started today and we made it as far as Douglas, Wyoming.  No Walmart, just a Pamida, but we are at the Truck Stop, not a bad place to stop. We have got the Satallite Radio on Channel 166, America Right, now those boys are good.

We just entered Kansas today when this thing blocks traffic.  It is the longest load I have ever seen. It is probably Top Secret.  There was 3 of them.

Monte Vista, Colorado

Tonight was our last sale of 33 on this run, and it was great. The best sale we had this whole run.  Several $2000.00 buyers. Only had 39 but they were bidders and buyers. I have never had a bad sale in Monte Vista.  I should be home tonight around 6 or 7.  2 weeks off and off to Montana for 47 sales.  I am kinda of ready for a break.

They have a motel in town that has a drive in.  You just open your curtains in your room and watch the movie. The sound is piped right into your room.

Sale in Manassa, Colorado

Nice big crowd in a little town in Colorado, They have never had one of our auctions.  This was their first. They took to it real well. One of the biggest  crowds in months.

Just walking around Walmart tonight, just looking around at all the people that have lost a part of their freedom, and they don't even know it.  The ball is rolling and I don't know if we can stop it.  Most of the American people really don't even know what happened.  Socialism is here. America is not free and it is going to get worst.

San Luis, Colorado

We had another good sale, we didn't even get there till 12:30 and the sale starts at 1.  We started 30 minutes late with about 13 people but more gradually came in and it worked out great. Mr. and Mrs number 94 brought their grandson. I gave the grandson one of our Ram Tool Hats that light up and as you can see he was tickled.

Boone Sale was just alright...

Boone ended up being a good sale. made money. I started going to the VFW in Boone in 1974, it is a little hall and they do good bar business.  I haven't had a sale with booze allowed in a long time, nothing has changed, a lot of drinking, but they all had a good time.  I have be thinking, I have went 9 years without any booze, I think I can start again and just be a social drinker. I'll have it under control this time.

Just Great......................

It is 2 am and here we sit at the bottom of N La Veta Pass, with big flashing signs, Chains Required, I don't know if we have any so we are going to wait till morning and then worry about it.  Roads are bad, no motels for the boys so Billy is sleeping in the Van and Kyle is in the Motorhome tonight.  Sadie sleeps going down the road and Sammy is a nervous wreck, it is just like he hates my driving.  Well good night, Sammy and Sadie will sleep with me, it must be because of Fox News is on 24/7. Thank God for Fox News.

I knew it would happen some day..........................

One of heavy carts broke their floor, the cart fell over but a table caught it.
If that table wouldn't have caught it, it could have went right through their floor. It is wonder Arthur didn't get hurt. These carts weigh ? about 1000 lbs or more ? They are heavy. Close call.  Nancy the young lady in charge was wonderful (as Bud would say) I gave here a hundred bucks and she was happy.

Boone, Colorado

It is snowing. We have to drive tonight after the sale to San Luis, Co we will now start getting into the mountains.
We just found out that the N LaVeta Pass is closed due to accidents from the snow.  We can't go around, I won't try to go through in the middle of the night, but we will be at the bottom early tomorrow morning and hope it is open by then.

 The vote on  health care is driving me nuts, I can't believe they are doing this to us.  We have to get the Democrats out.  Don't get me wrong I am not to tickled with the Republicans either, I feel they are just as corrupt.  They all need voted out.  What a bunch of crooks. Last night I asked the crowd on how many watch fox news 75% raised their hands, then I asked what the rest watched or listen to and they just sat there and didn't even respond.  I was at the post office today, and the postmaster was telling me he can't even find anybody that will admit to voting for Obama.  If they pass this bill it will be a big step into complete government take over.  The government will decide what our doctors will make. They will make all the decisions about our health.  The next step will be nationalizing the drug market another take over.  In this bill it also gives the IRS  complete access to your personal or business checking accounts, they can just take your money. The IRS will be enforcing the health care, you must have government approved health care or they will fine you, you can be audited once a month.  They will force you to buy health care. There should not be any vote buying or sweet deals.  We have to vote the Democrats out. Even Democrats have to vote Democrats out.  We do need health care reform, not take over.

Auction in Calhan, Co and now we are in Walmart at Pueblo, Colorado

A short little note about the sale , they were good people, and nice crowd.  I was just lacking a couple of 2500.00 buyers, but we didn't loose any money.  We are parked at Walmart in Pueblo, Arthur is shopping and I am just playing with the doggies.

If you are not paying attention, you should ASAP  or you are going to loose your freedom.  America you must wake up. Sunday could be the last day of your freedom...  You must realize that Monday morning you might wake up and you freedom is gone  ATTENTION   this is not about health care.........Don't fall for it . This is nothing but government control of you.  No one cares about your health, Wake up, it is control. The American people don't want it.  The Democrats are out of control.  Our corrupt government will do anything it take to pass this. This is long way from being over.  In November  vote every Democrat out off office.  What they are doing to the American public is criminal.

Small crowd tonight I even started 20 minutes late. It was tough, I had 10 bidders and then a couple of guys came in as I was selling generators and they said I'll take 2, I put up an air compressor he says I'll take 3. Another guy says how about the black generator, I will start it at $500.00 and the rest of the night was that way so we pulled it out.

Hale, Colorado

     Another good sale in Hale.  I started coming here about 36 years ago, I have never had a loser here, I need about 1,000 spots like this one.  I only had 22 bidders but they were buyers. 

     The Hale Hall was built in 1948 as a cafeteria for the workers that was building the Bonny Dam. About 800 workers moved into Hale with tents from 1948 to 1951. It was booming, booze, women and plenty of fighting and when the Dam was done, everybody left and that is how they got the building. The Bonny Dam was built on the South Fork Republican River, I was told today they drained the lake for Kansas, there is only about 6 feet of water,  what a bunch of crap.

Sale was no big deal, but I think the next 3 days will be good.  It is cold. I thought winter would be about over.

Great sale, big crowd, they were great bidders and buyers, we left the hall last night about midnight and I locked the money from the sale in the hall.  Great....I had to wake up the lady that rented us the hall, she took it pretty good.  We drove to Garden City and stayed at Camp Wal-Mart, shopped till about 2am then had to get up at 7am to drive 100 miles to Oakley, Kansas.  Connie showed up at   1 o'clock so we spent the afternoon with the dogs ..................The Sale in Oakley was terrible, they sat there, They would not bid, they would not give me any requests, I do not have a clue why they showed up. We are staying at the High Plains Camping, (Kay, is this where you and Danny stayed?). Well checked my Facebook and guess who was there, a name from a long time ago...Charline Mildrexler.

For a little sale it was a good sale, didn't sell much but we only had $341.00 in advertising.  I had a big buyer, he spent $2000.00 but then his credit card wasn't any good so we lost that deal, but that was ok, because he kept the bid high on everthing, so everyone else paid top dollar.  After he left another guy came back and said I am sorry but I got into it and can I return my stuff, but I would buy the air compressor so he marked off his $400.00 Jackpot. We still made good money after loosing $2500.00 in sales.

Sammy and I went to the Dalton Gang Hideout today, is was kinda of interesting, no big deal.

Sammy did like it, he loves to go snooping.

The sale was no big deal today, we still made money, but it was tough.  The first hour they just looked at me, they wouldn't even sit down or bid.  They finally warmed up, but it took a while.  I can't believe I went off and left Sammy at the sale. I was driving down the road and started talking to him and then wondered why he wasn't in my lap and then it dawned on me he wasn't with me, I called back to the sale and he was with Kyle.  I always know where he is and he doesn't get out of my site, except when he is with Kyle.  We are parked at a quick shop truck stop tonight in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.  Here is a picture of Sammy on an anchor at a Veterans Memorial in Helena, OK. Finally, a good sale after 5 bad ones. It was just a good day, we are now in Kiowa, KS parked down by the railroad tracks just waiting for another good sale. 
If you get a chance to watch Glen Becks the Indoctrination of our Kids watch it, we have to wake up to what is happening to us. We are loosing our country. Can we make it another 3 years?

Cresent, Ok

, 5 bad sales in a row.  What's the deal, the crowds are too small. A very shy (Baschan) was at the sale with no collar, I know it had been abused, nice dog, it was hard for me to pull out and leave it, wonderful dog.  I woould love to have a homeless dog retreat.  Well Arthur and I are at Walmart in Enid, OK, tomorrow we will go to Helena, we are going after sales very carefully, cutting back on advertising, I have 10 days to turn this around. It is going to be touch and go. Good night

Kingfisher, Oklahoma.......2nd time in a week.

Back in 1977 I was late for a sale, I came out of Enid, OK going south toward Kingfisher at a high rate of speed, but as I was leaving town there were a bunch of police with someone pulled over and I had to slow down and go around.  I stopped at a quick shop in Waukomis OK.  I did my shopping and out the door I went.  I got into my new Lincoln Mark V and took off again, I was late.  I passed several cars and didn't even think anything about it, but as I was approaching Kingfisher , the bridge to get into town was blocked by police cars, so I slow down and guess what, they wanted me.  Come to find out there was a bank robbery and that was what the police mess that I had to go around.  Well when I pulled into that quick shop, the police were taking the bank robber back to Kingfisher to jail in unmarked cars.  I just happen to pass everyone at a high rate of speed.  So they called ahead and they were waiting for me.  So they threw the bank robber and me in the same cell.  So I called Connie who I was dating at the time, had ther bring me $500.00 cash for bail, which Big Earl loaned her. She came and got me and we went across the street to a quick shop and bought $35.00 worth of Candy and Chips and took it back over to the jail and had the jailer give it to all the boys. Their jail is on the top floor of the court house. As I was leaving I had my moon roof back waving at all the bad boys in jail, they were yelling and screaming and thumbs up, they loved the snacks.  I went through a few days later bought another $35.00 worth of Candy and Snacks , it was a real treat for guys.

But back to the Bank Robber he wanted to go to Enid and tell his wife the problem  he had,  so I did,  He also told me that if he had a car like mine, they would have never caught him.

Connie and I were friends with Big Earl, he must have been 6'10 or 11. He was a great guy he came to all of our auctions, he would help anyone he was a wonderful man.  He sold his Big Conoco Gas station to Walgreens who wanted that corner and he made a few million.  Right south of Kingfisher there is a white cross labeled Big Earl, he was killed in car wreck a few years ago.

So I have a little history in Kingfisher.  Then the new Walmart in Kingfisher has a nice memorial park at the south side of the parking lot.  Kingfisher is the birthplace and hometown of Sam Walton.

I had a sale tonight in Kingfisher and it wasn't worth a damn, the people that were there were great, just not enough of them.  Tonight we are staying at Camp Walmart.

We pulled into a new RV Park last night in Canton, OK, we enjoyed a nice quite relaxing evening.  Then at 8am this morning someone is knocking on our door, so I get up open the door and here is some guy that is staying at the RV Park and wants to know if I want to go to church, (I have never seen this man in my life.)  NO, I do not.
I might have sounded rude but what in the Hell is wrong with that man. I was not going to explain to him why I was not going.  He needs to mind his own business.  We had a good sale and one of the best per cent ever.  It has just been a good day.  We made it to Walmart in Kingfisher, OK (The birthplace of Sam Walton) they have a nice little memorial park at the south edge of the parking lot.  I should have got a picture, maybe tomorrow.

Apache, Oklahoma

Wow, another good sale, I started having sales in Apache 32 or 33 years ago, it has always been pretty good.

  A guy showed up today just to say "Hi," that used to help me at the Sale Barn over 20 years ago.  They have a huge Rattle Snake roundup once a year.  They will catch over 8000 snakes from around this area.  They have a snake pit they put them in and then guys get in and walk around in the pit with snakes piled 2 foot high.  Here is a picture of the Snake Butcher Shop and the Snake Pit.  I went to Waynoka, Ok to their Snake Roundup ONCE... that was enough for me.  No More....  Arthur, Sammy and I are camping out tonight on main street in Apache right across from the Snake Pit.   There was a gentleman today that told me he used to bale hay,  but if your tractor ever breaks down, you stayed on it, he said there are so many snakes you can't walk out of  fields.

Konowa, Oklahoma

We had a sale last night in Sulphur, OK turned out be just a pretty good sale, nice big crowd.  Today we are in Konowa, OK we had a lot of people coming in all day long then a small crowd.  I put up the first 5 items and no one bid. I am thinking boy this is going to be a long night.  Then a woman Mrs. #85 in the last row bought the next 20 items, but no one else would bid.  The $10 to $20.00 stuff was not working.  So I asked if anybody had a request, and a guy says put up the big generator.  It brought  $850.00 and my woman #85 in the back row bought it. So I put up the big air compressor and Mr 7 & Mr 81 bought it for $1000.00 ea. I threw in a 3000 watt generator and a big 57 pc air tool kit and my woman in the back row Mrs. #85 bought one and another guy bought one. The rest of the night was just big stuff no small items, so it all worked out (as Bud would say) just wonderful. Well got to go we are going to drive about 50 miles tonight.

Sammy ran into his twin tonight, his twin needs a haircut.  Mr and Mrs 65 were good bidders and had a good time but after seeing Sammy they had to go and get their Abagail.

Purcell, Oklahoma has always been good to me....Great Sale

Great Sale, better than yesterday, couldn't get any better bidders.  I had gentleman that was in the oil business and he bought about 10 of everything, I wish he was at every auction.  Here is 1 pickup load. When the sale was over he just walked out and left his 2 sons to handle everything and they did. 
I never have been much of a fixer, but today I decided to take on a light switch.  The headlight switch in the motorhome was bad so I go to  the parts store and buy a switch.  Install it. It worked. I was proud.  But after the auction I came out to relax for a moment and everything was dead. So I get a generator started and let things charge up and come to find out that when I installed the switch the dome light came on and would not turn off no matter what and it ran all my batteries down and it is not a little dome light. So I take everything apart, put it back together, fixed it, dome light was off. Great.  But now my  frig won't work or my heaters and all off my lights are going in and out. Well after a while I got that fixed it was a breaker.  But I still have a cracked pipe and water leaks out on the ground when the water pump is on.  Tomorrow I will fix that.  I should have known something was wrong back in High School when everyone else in shop was learning how to weld and making nice neat productive  stuff and I was over in the corner on a wood lathe making a Beer Mug. I still have it but the handle won't stay on and must be something with the glue and wood that anything in the mug taste terrible.  That was my shop class.

We had a good sale today, big crowd, great bidders and as Bud would say they were "Wonderful". They were a lot of first timers and they had a ball, they were asking all kinds of questions before the sale and they got into it.
4 hours of running around on a cement floor my body is sore. 
Sammy is barking to go outside but it is pouring down rain, he is going to have to wait. He gets so much attention at the sale we have to keep a close eye on him. Everyone has to pet him and the women want to hold him.
Tomorrow is one of my favorite sales I have been going to Purcell for over 30 years, we have had a lot of great sales there.

Here is Terry and some pretty cold customers, looking for heat.

The Oklahoma Ice Storm is pretty well over, (sales wise) more & more generators are flowing in. The trick is being there first. When you are the only game in town it is an easy sell. We were there on the first night of the storm in Chickasha. It is strange to pull into a town that is all dark. Peolpe out driving all over trying to find fuel or anything that can keep the warm. Anyone that was selling batteries, gas cans, blankets, portable propane heaters were sold out. On the 2nd day a few other peddlers selling out of pickups pull into town selling Generators we sell for $299.00 were being sold at $650.00, that is price gouging. Generators we sell for $999.00 were being sold for $1700.00. We sold our products for the same price that we sell for everyday.

There are no Motels, No Post Office, No Stores, No Gas, if a business is lucky to get a big generator they can just get buy and then they are swamped.

There are a lot of customers that think they can just buy a generator and they will be back to normal. We started in Oklahoma City then Chickasha, Lawton, Duncan and then Altus who had been without power for 6 days. I talked to the Altus City Clerk who was hoping the Hospital and Rest Homes would get power on the 7th day after the storm.

I don't think I could make it for 7 days without Heat, TV, Internet, Fast Food Joints and Walmart. I had one young lady who had a wood stove to keep warm and that was it, said she had just looked at her husband long enough, she wanted just enough power to get her computer on to play games, so she didn't have just look at him any longer.

We sold out, another great sale. We loaded up drove to Lawton, OK met another crew and they gave us 63 generators to sell. We drove to Duncan, OK, a very dark town, not many lights. The Days Inn has no electricity so the owner let us use the Days Inn parking lot. I drove to a RV park for tonight, sold the owner 2 new generators. We need another good day. Here are some of the guys that make it happen.

1999 Terry Woodring and I went to the East Coast for the biggest Sale we have ever had. Our 1st customer took a 100 generators. We sold right at 900 generators. This is the 2nd Biggest Sale I have ever had in 36 years. Chickasha has 13,000 without power. Tap has another truck in Lawton, 35,000 without power. We turned the Motorhome into an check out office and the people loved it nice warm and Sammy to talk to. This whole area is a mess, there are only a few businesses open. Channel 4 News from Oklahoma City showed up and Terry went outside for an interview which was good advertising. I just had a gentleman from Lindsay, OK in, no power anywhere around Lindsay. Hearing stories all day from people who went through 1 night without power, makes those pioneers pretty damn tough.

Ice Storm Coming to Oklahoma

Terry Woodring and I will be leaving shortly to travel to the middle of the Ice Storm. Where there is no electricity, no heat, no gas pumps, just freezing ice.

Oh, by the way, while we are there we might sell a generator or 2, or maybe 300.

We had a sale tonight in Clinton, Oklahoma, my first bad sale this run, we lost money. Two more sales to go. Cheyenne, OK and Protection, KS, they are both little bitty towns but I have had big sales at both. Arthur and I are at Walmart in Elk City, Arthur is shopping and I am in the coach with Sammy. I have to get 30 more sales booked, but I now have to take 3 weeks off to get ready for a run of 30.

Another Good Sale, we're on a roll. I've been coming down here for about 35 years it has always been a good sale. I have to map out another run tonight, I have to pick out 20 good sales. We found a RV Park 1 mile south of the Fairgrounds, NO CABLE & NO WIFI, but we will get buy.

All we need is Fox News, Fox Radio Talk & America Right and not a Democrat anywhere around.

We are just having a good run, good buyers, good bidders. There is just not many pictures to take in Oklahoma. Oklahoma is one of my favorite states, I have had 36 years of sales down here everywhere. I found a scenic turnout today and here it is.

Just having sales day after day, and listening to Fox News, Fox Radio Talk and America Right 24 hours a day. I just can't get enough of it.

I have to drive about 180 miles tomorrow to buy a damn license that I don't even need for a Saturday Sale. Maybe something will happen tomorrow that will be interesting.

Pryor, Oklahoma

Another good sale, it was 90% Amish, I have always enjoyed them. You don't have to worry about bad checks, and their kids sit there all night and don't move. How do they get them to do that. They all drove their tractors, that way you don't have to pay taxes or insurance. But on Sunday they use their horse and buggies. They don't buy things they don't need but when they want something they'll bid till they get it.

Great Sale TODAY.. Bidders, Big Buyers, Just an all around great sale. It really feels good to be back in Oklahoma. I have always had good sales here.

Forrest City, Arkansas

We left Georgia this morning bright and early, made it into Alabama, and then Mississippi and Arthur our Truck Driver got pulled over for a surprise DOT inspection. GREAT. We got put out of service because we needed 2 tires, well there went a quick $400.00 for 2 used tires. We finally got going again and then Memphis (to much traffic) then another scale but we sailed through. I put the GPS on Walmart and here we are Forrest City, Arkansas. What a long day, we will finish up tomorrow we have only about 350 miles to go.

I was just reading about Ben Nelson getting booed out of a pizza joint. Good he needs to move to another state anyway.

We are in Camilla, Georgia the only American Legion I have ever seen that has an Olympic swimming pool. It was built in 1947. It was a bad sale tonight, and I am ready to go to Oklahoma. We have 2 days to get to the next sale in Claremore, OK , 899 miles to go.

I had nerve racking day yesterday, getting oil changes, getting some inventoring done, just didn't feel up to par. At sale time I had a small crowd, oh that is a bad feeling and boom....they starting off bidding like crazy, and they didn't stop it was unbelievable. We had a pretty good sale. There was a retired President of a bank and he and another spent alot of money. We got up this morning to go to Richland and had to go through Plains Georgia, Home of Jimmy Carter. I was going to stop and take some pictures, but I can't take pictures of Democrats. Well anyway the Bank President from last night showed up tonight with the Mayor of Plains and they spent about 3 grand and we had another good sale. He told me old Jimmy teaches Sunday School every Sunday. I had to ask to Mayor if he was a Democrat. Hell NO. Then we got along just fine.

PS: I had another good buyer, after he left I found out he is building a brand new Mortuary across the street from the Old Folks Home.

One Bad Day in Roberta, Georgia

This morning didn't start off to bad, the Lady let us in the hall to setup the sale. After she left to go to church, the heater in the building quit. No heat and she is not available. Finally about 10 minutes to sale time she shows up, flipped a switch and it started back up. We have a nice big crowd, I started off the first item and no one bids, so I add more to it, no bids. I put up a $20.00 Die grinder and Bits & some dumb SOB holds up two fingers. This goes on and on, no one bids no one gives me any request, I don't have one clue why they even showed up, because they weren't there to buy anything. Sale is over and they have completely wore me out. We load up, and head to the sale, my GPS is wrong and we miss Americus, GA by 13 miles. We turn around drive back to Walmart, park the truck and go to get a bite to eat when we returned there was a security car by our truck. I pull over and asked him what was the problem, this little miniature security guard tells me we can't park our truck at Walmart. It was then my job to be very, very rude and crude. So we move the truck to the Sale location. I have probably stayed at over 500 Walmarts and not 1 time have we had to move the truck off there lot. We came back to Walmart and parked the RV, I am just waiting for this little miniature security guard to come visit. I am very tired, worn out, and I hope I do not run into anyone tonight in the general public.

I watched the Fall of the Rebublic last night 2 hours and 24 minutes. I emailed the youtube address last night, every one needs to take the time and watch it. I was trying to copy and paste the address but it is not working, type The Fall of the Republic in you search engine and click on full version. This will make you mad.

Buggy Town Auction, I want to have more sales here.

These are my favorite sales, old Auction Houses with all the good ole boys. This old Auction House draws crowds of 400 to 500 people every Friday. They sell everything from chickens to goats, rabbits or anything you can think of. We had a beautiful crowd and it was a pretty good sale. Good bidders.

Manchester, GA

We had a sale tonight in the Manchester Mill, which was built in 1909 and was a textile company, now it is a huge rental hall. It is 4 miles from Warm Springs, Ga where FDR lived and died..

His house in Warm Springs is called the Little White House.

There is a springs there that is always right at 90 degrees. The sale was no big deal because it had no heat and it is cold down here (45 to 50).

We had a great sale tonight with only 21 people, they jumped right in and bid, they were there to buy. We had a $3800.00 buyer, a $3000.00 buyer and the other bidders just did their job.

It is cold down here, it says it is 18 here tonight at Camp Walmart. My GPS showed 2 Walmart's in town and there is not, there is only one, and it was wrong, I had to call to find out where they were located.

We need another good sale tomorrow.

Enid, Oklahoma

The last night in Enid, Oklahoma, Connie will head to Nebraska tomorrow and I will be going south to Georgia. Connie's sisters daughter Tiffany and her daughter Mattie and son Dillon were visiting and we spent time with them tonight. I forgot just how much energy little ones can have.
Well back to work tomorrow.
