Rock City, Lookout Mountain, Tennesse
My 1st trip to Rock City on Lookout Mountain, Tennesse was about 50 years ago. I beleive my folks had a 1957 Ford. I had to be 5 or 6 and I still have the slides from that trip. I still remember the Fairyland Caverns . If you ever get to Lookout Mountain, go to Rock City.
Sis, do you remember Lookout Mountian?

Enid, Oklahoma
Well this has been an interesting trip, from Morgan, Utah to Cheyenne, Wy, to Denver, to Goodland, KS to Woodward, OK and parked the Motorhome in Terry Woodring's driveway. Connie got to see an old girlfriend and her mother who is not doing well. We stayed one night and proceeded to Enid, Oklahoma to the Highpoint RV Park which is pretty empty. We are just relaxing and resting up. Will leave for Trenton, Georgia, Saturday morning.

Preston, Idaho.......Last Sale before we go to Utah
Leaving Preston today and onward to Utah
These are pics of the Preston Country Club, the ELKS is at the golf course where our Auction was today. Last night we stayed in the parking lot of the ELKS this little pond was right beside us, when we woke up this moring is was kinda of frozen over and with the sun shinning it was nice.
Last day in Idaho for awhile. It really is a beatiful state. Tonight we are in Logan Utah at our favorite RV Park......WALMART......Wednesday night we are done just outside of Salt LakeCity, and then I am on my way to Woodward, Oklahoma. I have a feeling the scenery is going to change. I still have a lot of Utah to see in the next 3 days.

I am in a Mormon community today. Not many people at todays sale.
Mormons are discouraged from working (Exodus 20:9-10), playing sports, watching television or movies, seeking recreation or entertainment, spending money, preparing elaborate meals, or doing homework on Sundays.

Driggs, Idaho
This Drug Store is one of the oldest buildings in town. There was a fire across the street that wiped 3 building out, and they built a great big new building. This is a small town.
We are at the edge of the Teton Mountains, 40 miles from Jackson, Wyo. Everything is this town is new. New court house, new condos, new houses, new businesses, this is unbleiveable. This had to be a booming town.
I have never seen this before, if you want to use their heat you have to put quarters in.

Small world that you found my blog online. Thanks for visiting and look forward to seeing you Memorial Day. Thanks Mike
Ashton, Idaho
What a day! We get to the sale and I found out they charged us $100.00 for use of there chairs (are they nuts) then someone rented tables for $202.00 for no reason, the total rent $653.00. That is insane. Then Kyle goes down to the bathroom in the hall as he is turning on the light something brushes against his leg, light comes on and it is a skunk.....scared the skunk and Kyle and the skunk ran into another room and no one has tried to get him out. Then the hall is getting cold so a guy shows up to turn on the heat. It is a coal furnace, chimney was plugged and filled the entire hall up with smoke, it is about sale time, doors are open, smells like smoke and there is a skunk in the building.
Well the sale over everyone complained about being cold and the smell, they left early, the sale was no big deal. The skunk ended up in they ladies restroom for awhile before running to another room.

Rexburg, Idaho
This is my 3rd time here for an auction. It is a huge Rodeo Arena with bleachers. Tonight was a good sale, they took the passes good, big stuff was great, and sold alot of high dollar items. Good crowd.
Here is Kyle playing with Sammy after the sale. Kyle, Billy and Arthur all play with Sammy all the time. This reminds me of the old days, we used to rent sale barns all over the country, our display has grown to big it won't fit in the sale rings anymore. What is sad, our sales are still the same size. All the expenses have went up 75% and the sale volume is the same.

Here is Billy on the left, Sammy and Arthur, Arthur has driven the truck for me for over 5 years,

Nice building great for an auction, to bad the small crowd didn't know what an auction is. Tight and mouthy. The end.

I had a small crowd tonight, but they were really friendly and polite. I would like to come back and have another auction again. They just didn't need the big stuff.
