Cold in Texas

Today it was about 50, it is hard to work when it is that cold.  I hope Monday it is back to 70.  I think everyone down here has a new pickup and a Carhart Jacket.

Back to Walmart again.

I finally found my problem with Walmart. The buzzer went off again today. It was my billfold. There was a security strip on the ID card that comes with the wallet.  I have had this wallet for a long time why it started setting off the security alarm is really strange. It is now fixed.  I am in Decatur, Texas, not a bad sale but the wind is blowing dust everywhere. Kinda of a dirty day.

What a pain at Walmart.............

A few days ago I went into a Walmart and the security alarm goes off.  I didn't think to much about it. Yesterday   I go into a Walmart and it goes off again.  I tell the guy that I had bought my tennis shoes and jacket at Walmart. He tells me just to go on, but I want to know what is causing this, so I take off my jacket and ask him to run it through, well nothing happens but he doesn't like what I am doing, he just wants me to get going. Nope I want to know what it is.  So I take my tennis shoes off, now he is getting nervous, so I ask him to run those through and the alarm goes off.  He is telling me that he doesn't want customers thinking he is making me take off my jacket and shoes.  so he hands me my shoes back and tells me everything is OK just go.  Nope, I want them to deactivate my shoes, but now they don't want to put my old stinky tennis shoes on the deactivater in front of customers, but finally they do and then they go over and test them and my shoes were the problem.  But on the way out it goes off again.  So I just went on and forgot it.  Untill tonight.  I go back into the same Walmart tonight and the damn buzzer goes off again.  I don't have my tennis shoes on, so I take my jacket off again and that is not it.  But they didn't want anything to do with me, because it is starting to look the TSA at the airport. Sir you are OK just go on.  When I was done shopping I went to the other door and ask the guy to run my basket through for me, it was OK.  He must have talked to the other door and ask me not to take anything off. So I leave and the damn buzzer goes off again.  I came to the motorhome and took my wallet apart, which I had bought at Walmart, and went back. There is a new guy at the door and I started to explain to him my problem, so I had my wallet that I had stripped down in one hand and my credit cards in the other.  He runs my credit cards through, they are fine.
He runs my wallet through and it is fine.  I now have a pair of old shoes on, old pants, tee shirt, there is nothing that can set this damn thing off, so I took a couple of steps to go out and it goes off, I turn around to go back in and he kind of put his hand on my shoulder and said you are fine, it will work it self out and kind of made it clear that they wanted me to go home.  So I did and I still don't know what the problem is.

Getting ready to go into Texas.......

We are camped out tonight at a Casino in Davis, OK,  I didn't even go in, this job is a big enough gamble. This will be our last night in Oklahoma.  I hope it gets a little bit warmer, the weather has been terrible, jackets in the morning and T Shirts in the afternoon.
Here is Kyle's new Trailer,  it is really nice and he loves it.

This will be a different Christmas this year.
I made a decision today, that I am not going home for Christmas.
I am sure Connie will be OK in that big 3 story house all by herself. She will have the Life Channel and Molly.
This will be the first Christmas we have ever been apart.
I can get more selling in this way, Kyle and Arthur are for it.

Last Day in Skiatook, OK

We are at an Old Walmart building in Skiatook, and in the same parking lot is a Baptist Church, they had a Trunk and Treat tonight, I have never seen anything like it.  All these people showed up made a big circle with there trunks facing toward the middle, they had their trunks decorated  and hundred of kids showed up and they went to each trunk and got a treat.  Big day tomorrow, got to get ready for an Auction and 4 days of sales, busy week.

Doing Womans Work

I have spent 2 hours cleaning, mopping and just straighting things out.  This is quite a job.  It is an instinct that is built into women that just comes natural, they can clean anything.  God new what he was doing when he made women.  Clean, Clean, Clean.  However they do get kind of noisy at times. Well time to take the dogs out for a walk.

Bartlesville, Oklahoma

The weather is great and I really want to miss winter this year.  We have been in Bartlesville for 2 days now and the sales are great.  I am going to book a couple of auctions and test the economy down here.  Oklahoma has always been good to me.  I wish we could have one more OIL BOOM.  When I started in 1974 and started running Oklahoma in the late 70's I didn't know there was an oil boom going on till it was over. I thought the economy was like that all the time.  As soon as the Republicans get in power and stop Obama maybe we can get things going again.  Obama has no clue how to do nothing.  He is so anti business he is killing us.  I visit with customers all day long and still no Obama takers, I can't find anyone that even likes him.  I can't wait till November 2nd.

Caught a mouse at Walmart...............

I stopped at Walmart tonight in Lexington, and there was a mouse in the parking lot that looked like it was lost and confused.  I had a hell of a time catching it.  I finally caught it and took it over to the grass and let it go.  I probably should have washed my hands before I ate my ice cream cone.

Tea Party Bus in Lexington

As I was leaving Lexington last night, here was a Tea Party Bus, I didn't get very good pictures.

Cozad.............

Finished up today in Ogallala, we are now in Cozad, Sammy and Sadie are happy, they have nice grass here.  We worked all day today taking off the vinyl letters off of our trailer, have to get it ready, Verlyn is going to paint it bright yellow in a few days.  When we get the trailer ready we are going to pull into Oxford and it has to be painted in 2 days, because we have to get going south. Everything is rush, rush, rush, having this trailer down for 2 days is going to make this an expensive paint job. We have to sell every day.  Got to go the Ambien is kicking in.

No grass in Ogallala..............

Sammy & Sadie hate Ogallala, no grass anywhere, we have battled & battled with stickers, my fingers are sore and Sammy just stays on the payment.  We even went to the park and it is full of stickers.  Finally I pulled up in front of McDonalds and let the dogs out to poop on their nice grass.  I think I'll try Taco Bell in the morning because they will be closed.

Onawa, Iowa Tea Party

I met Danny & Kay in Onawa, Iowa and we went to the Tea Party. It was very interesting and we had a good time. I enjoyed it very much.
I got screwed by a Tire Dealer in Onawa, don't ever get stranded there. $60.00 to mount 2 tires......What a crook. I am back in Nebraska for now and then I am heading south toward Huston for the winter, I hope my wife enjoys the Nebraska winter.

Back on the ROAD!!!

There has been enough time off, it is time to get back to work.

1. We fill the truck in Alma, drive to Oxford where it sets for 2 weeks and then Holdrege and on to Elm Creek and fill up again. ($300.00)  Where did my fuel go?
2. We then have a blow out on the truck and have to buy a tire ($247.00)
3. Then a brake canister ($177.00)
4. Then ran over a tire that came off the truck in front of me. It smashed my steps in on the motorhome, broke the bottom off the front fender and dented in 2 doors on the bottom. ($ ?)

I am finally in Dubuque, Iowa at Wall Mart, I have about 20 miles to go tomorrow.

Back on the Road Again.............................

10 more Days

This is the longest I have had off in years.  I will start my first auction in Illinois on the 23rd, and if Obozo doesn't completely destroy the economy I am not going to let up till next July.  I do have a lot of paper work to get done, there will be a lot of licenses to get, and what a waste of time.  No one has had any auctions in Illinois of our type in  15 years, so you would think they would be great.  I might pack up the motorhome this week and either drive to Minn. or Kansas and just hang out, might even play a little golf.  It will be nice to get back on the road and listen to Fox and America Right 24 hours a day.  November will be nerve racking but I am sure we will win, if we don't, we are completely screwed.  The damage will be done.

Pictures taken by Mark & Georgia Percival

This makes me miss the west coast, Hwy 101

Georgia's flower garden.
Good job, this makes my wife's flower garden look pretty cheesy.

Oregon Coast is great...

Davis Memorial in Hiawatha, Kansas

The statues start off showing the different stage of their life.
The Davis's when they were young.

This picture is after Mrs. Davis had passed on.

The life size statues were hand crafted in Italy and started arriving in 1932.
Estimated total cost of the memorial was $200,000.00 which was a huge sum during the Great Depression. The marble canopy weighs 105,000 lbs more than 50 ton.
This draws 20-30,000 people year, so the city is profiting off of him. I bet he wouldn't like that.
As you can see in the picture he had lost his hand to an infection.
He wasn't really liked, as the memorial grew he wouldn't give a dime to the community.
He claimed "They hate me, but it is my money and I will spend it the way I want to."
The locals claim that they suspect this was more as a slap in the face to his wife's heirs, because they got not nothing. He did give ten of thousands to the needy a few hundred at a time. But nothing to Hiawatha.
This grumpy old man, would have not got along with Obozo and share the wealth.
I would have liked this old boy.

Well it is about sale time, got to go.

They bought so much it wouldn't fit.

Here is a pic from a couple last night that bought so much their car was full.

Arthur and I brought the truck to Norfolk today, and now we are camped out at Walmart, our favorite camp ground. I didn't bring the dogs on this trip and I sure miss them, but it is to hot.  We have 5 auctions this week, which should keep us busy.  Well back to FOX NEWS, good night.

America WAKE UP !!!

Read this and wake up. Obama is on a mission and it is not for the American People.

Back Home

We had a sale in Phillipsburg, it was a good sale. We did have a problem, the road is closed from south of Alma to the state line. So we took the Semi and Motorhome to Stamford and took the dirt road to Long Island and then back after the sale. Those roads do not look very good a 2am, but there is no traffic.

It is amazing, that there are democrats that don't have a clue what this SOB is pulling.  How could the American people put this man with no experience at all in power.  We can't let this happen again or we are done.

40l(k)/IRA Nationalization Quietly Moves Forward....Socialist America

This is from www.Humanevents.com
"The U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments will ask for public comment as soon as next week on ways to promote the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams, according to Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort."
They want to "get" people to invest their 401k's and IRA's into annuities, or likely into U.S. T-Bonds, which are in the biggest overvalued bubble the world has ever seen.
They are doing this because they will have $2 Trillion Dollars in bonds to sell this year, and foreign buying is drying up. China doesn't want them.... Do you?
Who's behind it?
The White House and a powerful network of Congressional activists, and The highly-influential Ford and Rockefeller Foundations. They are engineering a new regulatory and tax-incentive. The purpose is to herd and ultimately force Americans to convert their 40l(k)s and IRAs into government-directed retirement accounts.
The 40l(k)/IRA de-privatization plan is the brain-child of Teresa Ghilarducci (Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis - SCEPA), who is funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
The extreme tactics used to ram nationalized health care down the country's throat are a blueprint for what could be the biggest asset grab in history.

Good Day

We had a good day  today.  I have had sales here for about a little over 30 years and they have always been good.  We will spend 2 more days here and then move on.

Back on the Road

We had a sale today in Hastings, hurried back to Oxford, grabbed the motorhome and we are now camped out in North Platte at Camp Walmart. It feels good to be back.  I think I will go and buy a blood pressure machine.

Time to go back to WORK...........

I have had a very tough time making up my mind on where to take the next Tool Sale...... I just now decided it will be in Oxford for Turkey Days.  I have to decide on a location tomorrow morning.  It is suppose to rain the next few days and for this type of sale it is better to be outside.  So everyone stop by and buy something.
