Pictures taken by Mark & Georgia Percival
This makes me miss the west coast, Hwy 101
Georgia's flower garden.
Good job, this makes my wife's flower garden look pretty cheesy.
Oregon Coast is great...
Davis Memorial in Hiawatha, Kansas
The statues start off showing the different stage of their life.
The Davis's when they were young.
This picture is after Mrs. Davis had passed on.
The life size statues were hand crafted in Italy and started arriving in 1932.
Estimated total cost of the memorial was $200,000.00 which was a huge sum during the Great Depression. The marble canopy weighs 105,000 lbs more than 50 ton.
This draws 20-30,000 people year, so the city is profiting off of him. I bet he wouldn't like that.
As you can see in the picture he had lost his hand to an infection.
He wasn't really liked, as the memorial grew he wouldn't give a dime to the community.
He claimed "They hate me, but it is my money and I will spend it the way I want to."
The locals claim that they suspect this was more as a slap in the face to his wife's heirs, because they got not nothing. He did give ten of thousands to the needy a few hundred at a time. But nothing to Hiawatha.
This grumpy old man, would have not got along with Obozo and share the wealth.
I would have liked this old boy.
Well it is about sale time, got to go.

They bought so much it wouldn't fit.
Here is a pic from a couple last night that bought so much their car was full.
Arthur and I brought the truck to Norfolk today, and now we are camped out at Walmart, our favorite camp ground. I didn't bring the dogs on this trip and I sure miss them, but it is to hot. We have 5 auctions this week, which should keep us busy. Well back to FOX NEWS, good night.

Back Home
We had a sale in Phillipsburg, it was a good sale. We did have a problem, the road is closed from south of Alma to the state line. So we took the Semi and Motorhome to Stamford and took the dirt road to Long Island and then back after the sale. Those roads do not look very good a 2am, but there is no traffic.
It is amazing, that there are democrats that don't have a clue what this SOB is pulling. How could the American people put this man with no experience at all in power. We can't let this happen again or we are done.

40l(k)/IRA Nationalization Quietly Moves Forward....Socialist America
This is from www.Humanevents.com
"The U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments will ask for public comment as soon as next week on ways to promote the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams, according to Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort."

Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort."
They want to "get" people to invest their 401k's and IRA's into annuities, or likely into U.S. T-Bonds, which are in the biggest overvalued bubble the world has ever seen.
They are doing this because they will have $2 Trillion Dollars in bonds to sell this year, and foreign buying is drying up. China doesn't want them.... Do you?
Who's behind it?
The White House and a powerful network of Congressional activists, and The highly-influential Ford and Rockefeller Foundations. They are engineering a new regulatory and tax-incentive. The purpose is to herd and ultimately force Americans to convert their 40l(k)s and IRAs into government-directed retirement accounts.
The 40l(k)/IRA de-privatization plan is the brain-child of Teresa Ghilarducci (Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis - SCEPA), who is funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
The extreme tactics used to ram nationalized health care down the country's throat are a blueprint for what could be the biggest asset grab in history.

Good Day
We had a good day today. I have had sales here for about a little over 30 years and they have always been good. We will spend 2 more days here and then move on.
Back on the Road
We had a sale today in Hastings, hurried back to Oxford, grabbed the motorhome and we are now camped out in North Platte at Camp Walmart. It feels good to be back. I think I will go and buy a blood pressure machine.

Time to go back to WORK...........
I have had a very tough time making up my mind on where to take the next Tool Sale...... I just now decided it will be in Oxford for Turkey Days. I have to decide on a location tomorrow morning. It is suppose to rain the next few days and for this type of sale it is better to be outside. So everyone stop by and buy something.

What a DAY !!!
We stayed at Walmart in Billings last night because it was about 3 miles before the scale and the scale was OPEN. Thinking that it would be closed this morning turned out to be WRONG. It was open but we sailed right through and never had a truck problem all day long. About 4:45PM I noticed I had a bad tire on the motorhome, so I called ahead to a tire shop that closes at 5 in Wall, SD, and talked them into staying open a little later. They waited, I bought a new tire. Problem Solved. Then about 20 miles down the road I heard all this racket and I don't know why but my awning came loose. So I pulled over, got a knife and started cutting and that turned out to be quite a job. I have finally made it as far as Valentine and I am calling it a night.
Back to Billings, Montana
We are finally done. We had another bad sale but that is part of summer. We have made it as far as Billings, it is midnight, the dogs want out and they have a great Walmart with plenty of parking. Tomorrow should be only about 800 miles, it will feel good to get home.

Bozeman, Montana
128 miles to Bozeman today through wind, rain and snow. YES SNOW!! It will rain for a while and then snow. We have today off, so we found a nice RV Park 4 miles out of town at the bottom of this mountain and are just relaxing. I stopped at IGA today and bought the dogs a baked chicken (they like it better than dog food) and 20 - 12 packs of CHILL diet soda, its great. I have never heard of it untill about 2 weeks ago.

Billing, MT
We have had a streak of bad sales and small crowds. It always happens this time of year. I am done Tuesday and we are going a different direction for the summer. I haven't decided which direction or what format we are going to use, but it won't be Auctions. We are going back into the mountains for the next 4 days, so maybe we will get some good pictures.

Huntley, Montana
I have nothing good to say today, the sales are no big deal, 7 more days and this format is over, we will then make serious adjustments, I will have to reach deep, deep deep into my pocket and come up with a whole new format and direction to sell. Mr Woodring who is the greatest peddler in the world. We will change our format and go a different direction, with a 99% factor to work. Got to go the Ambien is kicking in, if I don't go now, it will be a mess. BYE

Miles City, Montana
Sales are no big deal, Miles City had their big Rodeo & Celebration and they draw from everywhere, so they hurt us a lot, but it is now over and we have an auction Monday night in Miles City. We are at Camp Walmart and it is GREAT couldn't wait to run in and spend a hundred.

Fairview, Montana
Started of bad we only had 11 bidders, but we worked them well and we go over $500 per head. This gentlemen in the pic was just driving by and saw a sign and thought he would see what was going on. He spent $2300.00, it turned out to be OK. Here is our big buyer, I am glad he showed up.

Glasgow, Montana.........Pamida
After a bad sale today Arthur and I went to Pamida. We went in and I just walked around for about 30 minutes talking on the phone and as I was walking towards the check out counter a black and white dog goes running across the isle and then behind him was Arthur at a high rate of speed. (Ya got to know Arthur, I didn't think he had another speed). When Arthur got to the Motorhome and opened the door the doggies jumped out and started running toward Pamida and with automatic doors they just opened up and in they went. Arthur was right on their tale chasing them around in the clothing dept, Sammy was hiding under clothes racks and Sadie was just running around. I finally caught Sadie, and Arthur finally caught Sammy. I wish I had my camera. That was a Kodak moment.

Lewistown, Montana
What a tough crowd, they wouldn't bid or even give me a request. The last time I was here in 2002 it was a huge crowd and a great sale. Didn't make any money here. We have a 130 miles drive in the morning and have to be there by 10am. Not much to say after a bad sale. Sold one $1500.00 Jackpot, that surprised me, I should have let him have it at 2 grand.
